Great monitors IF there's nothing wrong with them.......2007-01-11

We purchased 8 of these monitors in May 2006 (not from Amazon) for usage with our Mac G5s. They look beautiful, work great and were a great price with the rebates, hence the 4 stars.

HOWEVER, I've sent one back within a month for a bad DVI port and now (Jan07) I've replaced another one that developed a flaw in the display that looks like a "water stain" (for lack of a better description) 2" deep on the top of the display. At least 2 or 3 others are showing signs of this same "stain", but I'm waiting to see if it gets worse. Since they have such a great warranty, returns haven't been a problem, but this is pretty ridiculous.

I don't know if HP has a policy of letting blind people buy their parts but after getting one of these with a broken blue channel (everything was yellow), I had it replaced by another that has noticeable grey cloudiness in the blacks. When I asked for a replacement for that, they sent me an LCD that was hilariously defective, with a large dark band all the way across 1/4 of the screen. Are they getting the dregs that Apple isn't buying or something? I thought that I'd try and save a few bucks and buy this since the Apple is a bit pricey but after all this trouble and the rather cheesy clunkiness of this LCD's design, I wish I had gone with the Apple. I'll never buy another HP product again.

Much better value than the 23" Apple Cinema Display..........2005-06-06

...and uses the same Samsung LCD panel for $100s less. Mine worked great right out of the box and had NO dead pixels. I use it mostly for programming and text is very sharp with both the DVI and VGA inputs. Backlighting is very slightly shadowed near the screen perimeters but doesn't exhibit any coloration effects (Apple users have complained about "pink" panels.)

Because it has a multiplicity of inputs, I can use this monitor simultaneously with my Mac and PC and DVD/cable TV signal - and still have the RGB, S-video and Analog DVI inputs left over! The PIP feature lets me watch TV in one window and use the rest of the screen for my computer monitor great for late night channel+web surfing.

My only real beef is the stand - the base is very heavy, but because of the spring-loaded adjustable-height mechanism the panel itself still manages to move around and starts bouncing if I'm really typing hard. 86'ing the spring and using a nice simple manual lock-down screw would have solved this problem.

Overall, highly recommended!

Excellant Picture using DVI input.......2005-02-18

This monitor rocks. Replaces my old Eizo L375 (15" LCD). Connected to a ATI 8500 DV All-in-Wonder video card DVI port and a Compaq EVO N800v VGA port. The picture is much shaper with the DVI port. The S-video, component and composite are excellant for analog sources like TV - not very sharp at less than native resolution. I was surprised to find you can not select the VGA or DVI inputs for the PIP. So the only way you can see the output of two computers on the same screen is to connect one computer to S-video or component connectors. Lucky for me my ATI card has both DVI and S-video outputs.

Please note I just plugged it in to my DVI port and it worked perfect. Later I updated the generic plug-n-play driver with the HP specific driver. Also I noticed the DOS boot screen does not appear with this monitor using the DVI interface - this must be monitor specific because my last LCD showed the boot screen while using the DVI interface. However I can still see the DOS boot screen using the S-video or VGA interface.

The sound on this phone is poor and the clock cannot be set. The lights are neat but do not buy if you want a quality sound!

You cannot set the clock!!!.......2005-04-24

This phone is cheap....the sound quality matches (which I can live with). What I couldn't deal with was that they include a clock that the user CAN NOT SET. Nowhere in the manual does it give instructions for setting the clock (although you can set the language, area code, ringer, and blinky lights). Turns out...the undocumented "feature" is that you have to wait for a callerID call to come in...and then the clock is supposed to set. Guess what....doesn't work. So..it's a cheap phone with cool blinky lights that never has the right time set.

I had a PNY Flash Drive - and it crapped out. Now I have an EDGE DiskGo flash drive - and it is awesome. I have had it for years with no problems - and it is "Secure" - so you need a password to access the data on it. And it has a lifetime warranty. The way it is housed protects it without there being a cap to lose. 4GB Diskgo USB 2.0 Flash Drive.

I have used it over (1) year now.

It has been through (2) full wash cycles.

It has gone through (2) dryer sessions.

It still (freakin') works.

Yes thats right ,I wanted one so bad ,that I ran to the closest Best Buy and purchased the 256MB at $80. It kills me that I can buy this same drive for around $16. Its amazing while home and car prices soar, when it comes to PC's and anything you attach to it ,they continue to have more features for a cheaper price .I have not used this drive alot ,however when ever I did it never gave me any trouble except for the first time I plugged it into my PC which at that time was a P3 750mhz .PNY said for WinMe and WinXP it was plug and play ,which would probably be true unless you had a OEM install of your O/S and who ever installed it did not include all of the drivers for USB interface .I was able to extract the additionial files from the install .cab folders on my hard drive,and once it as up and runing ,I would just drag and drop what ever file or folder I needed to take with me,without any probs !

This is the worst USB flash device I have ever used. I was concerned about the quality of PNY products to begin with, but after using this drive I will stay away from any other products they manufacture. I have already had 1 fail on me when the usb attach part broke off after 2 weeks, and then another that, for me, was not machine washable. I would not recommend this product to my worst enemy. Caveat Emptor.

Convenient Backup.......2005-01-20

This storage device has saved me more than once. It hasn't failed on me yet. You don't want to use this as your sole backup source but it does work great. It's convenient and makes transferring files from one computer to another a snap. It is also the new modern alternative to taking dozens of files of copies and papers home at night. Instead just download it and you have it anywhere.

I bought the Samsonite Worldproof 4.1 to house a Canon es8200V. The bag is perfect for the camcorder, and wastes little space so that you can still enjoy an overall compact convenience. Along with a buckle that secures the lid, the main compartment is further secured by a zipper which is hidden under the hood of the lid, preventing it from clinking annoyingly or accidentally unzipping. There is mesh netting on the inside of the top lid that you can use to store something slim. Also, there are mesh pockets on each side of the case. Even with the camcorder inside, I still have a couple of inches to spare, just enough to use the adjustable partition to store the adapter. Additionally, the front pocket can store videotapes, etc. The one thing that I found different from the posted image is that the blue coloring isn't nearly as bright as it appears. Although much more subdued, I find that the actual blue color is much more fashionable and blends in nicely with the black. The padding is ample, and the material is water resistant and durable.
