I also owned an HP.......2006-12-11

it was a different model, an HP Pavillion N5250 but my review refers mostly to the HORRIBLE customer service I recieved. My HP had to be taken in to be fixed EVERY 3 months, the backlight would fail until the computer then shut itself down. The problem escalated until the computer could not stay on long enough to load windows. I called HP tech support, I informed them of my trouble and I was twice told they'd call me back, I never recieved a call back. I called again, informing tech support that I had been promised a call back (they did not care) so I asked to be put on hold this time. I held for nearly 45 minutes until I hung up. After my computer couldn't be fixed in 5 tries, I decided called an HP representative. I explained my position and they told me they had never heard of my problem. Meanwhile, several websites were documenting the same technical trouble on HP machines along as well as HP "ignoring" their customer's complaints. I persisted calling HP, each time I was called a liar, hung-up on and my problem consistantly ignored. They washed their hands of me until I called the better business beauru, after that, they were a little more accomodating.

I would STRONGLY advise against buying any HP product.

After two weeks, we can report being very satisfied with this phone. The overall quality and ease of use is up to the solid Panasonic standard -- at a very attractive price. The sound quality and range is excellent with almost no degradation at a long distance from the base. The speakerphone works well and, as we've never had one at home before, it's both novel and useful. The answering machine has all the right features and was easy to set up and use. Only small quibble: the ringer on the high setting is harsh; however, the low setting is quite bearable.

This drive sucks. I paid (on sale at Staples) $115.00 And it has not worked well since the day I got it. It locks my computer up so bad, I cannot even shut it down!!! I have to hard power it down and as you know not shutting everything else down causes software problems... I have tried to find firmware upgrades for this drive and none can be found on internet. The front of the retail box (which I still have) brags about Toll Free Technical Support.... uh... so what... someone answers the phone, they don't speak good english and they can't help me. Last Pacific Digital Product I am ever going to buy. Stick with name brands... Plextor, Sony, both support their drives... even the older ones. Gee I am mad!!! I won't get fooled again!

I bought this to play DVDs--nothing else. That it does. However, it's a little slow extracting audio and recently the tray started getting stuck when opening and closing.

I've had this DVD drive for a year and a half now, and it does work most of the time (albeit with a terribly loud whirring noise that sometimes detracts from the movie) but I've found that it cannot detect some DVDs. They are perfectly legit home videos that work in other DVD-ROMs, but not in this one. So every once in a while I have to borrow someone else's DVD player just to watch a movie, which is a nuisance. It will probably be a better deal to buy a more expensive DVD-ROM drive that runs quietly and actually works all the time.

I BOUGHT A PACIFIC DIGITAL EXTERNAL CD BURNER FROM AN INTERNET SELLER. IT CAME BRAND NEW IN A SEALED BOX WITH ALL THE WARRANTY CARDS AND EVERYTHING. I AM HAVING TROUBLE INSTALLING IT SO I CALLED PACIFIC DIGITAL SEVERAL TIMES FOR HELP ONLY TO GET VOICEMAIL. MY EMAILS WERE NEVER ANSWERED EITHER. WHEN I FINALLY GOT THROUGH SOME INDIAN SOUNDING GUY TOLD ME I COULDN'T GET SUPPORT BECAUSE I BOUGHT IT FROM AN "UNAUTHORIZED SELLER"!!THAT IS UNCONSCIONABLE!!! THIS COMPANY WILL BE OUT OF BUSINESS SOON BECAUSE THEY DO NOT STAND BY WHAT THEY SELL.

Nice Product.......2003-02-13

I've used an older version of Snappy in the past--with good results--but learned recently that it wouldn't work with Windows 2K. Bought Snappy 4.0, and it works wonderful with Windows 2K.

By adjusting the snap resolution, you can print great looking stills from your video, besides creating digital images for e-mail, etc.

The only reason I didn't give the product a 5 is the lack of customer support, considering that Snappy is (I'm told) out of business.

I use this mount with the shure PG series drums mics, I also use this mount for my sm57(on my snare drum). It works great. I've used many other drum mic mounts such as the claw and other gadgets that seem to fall off during a gig. This is the best that I've found.
