Optics and Resolution
The PhotoSmart 435 features a 3.1-megapixel resolution (effective) that produces images as large as 2048 x 1536 pixels. It offers one low resolution mode: 640 x 480. A fixed-focus camera, the PhotoSmart 435 features a 5x digital zoom.

Movie Mode
In addition to taking still photos, the PhotoSmart 435 can also record movie clips at 20 frames per second with sound. The QuickTime Motion JPEG format offers a limited resolution, which is great for capturing a short movie that can be e-mailed to friends and family, but is no replacement for a true camcorder.

More Features

The pros about this cam is that the pictures.. were decent. And the software was pretty cool.

But the cons? You could not keep enough batteries around to keep it goin.. and the flash is way too bright.. it even actually effected the pictures.

Okay for a cheap older camera.......2007-07-12

Good for quick and easy shots at parties and such. It's not a tiny little camera and obviously not pro material, but the quality is reasonable considering the cost and age. At 3MP, it is a good choice for someone who wants snapshots to post online or wants only smaller-size prints. I'm the world's worst about fuzzy pictures and this camera is fast enough to offset my shaky hands.

The only real drawback - and it's significant - is that the lens cover slides open too easily. Mine opens inside the camera case. Considering that opening the cover also turns on the camera, that means battery drain as a side effect. Presumably everyone uses rechargeable batteries these days. Even so, I'd recommend keeping the batteries out of the camera until you're ready to use it, or you'll find that you don't have enough power to snap anything.

This was my first digital camera. In fact, I still keep it around. In think is a pretty good and decent camera. It is easy to use and it is not heavy. Is perfect for vacations, party's, and other activities.

Ok, so the flash it is not so great. And it really uses up batteries rather fast.

Anyway, I would buy it again if i could :D :D!!

UGH!!!.......2006-05-20

This camera drinks battery juice like an alcholic drinks beer. Piece of junk that takes horrible, low-quality photos. Not even worth $50 new. One of the worst digital cameras I have ever used.

it WAS okay.... until..........2006-05-09

(okay so im really 14... now 14 & under)

I really liked this camera. The pictures were actually quite fine. It went through batteries like... well there is no comparison to that. It like ate them like a fat kid eats cake?? Well that was really a pain. I also know that sliding lens covers protect the lens, but it turns on the camera. If i were to stick it in my pocket, I'd have just wasted a set of batteries.

The absolute worst and random thing about this camera was that it RANDOMLY deleted RANDOM pictures!! I'd take a great picture and then... it made it all fuzzy!! So it was no good!! That really got me mad. If I wanted to make sure I'd actually get a picture of something, I'd had to take it twice, or maybe even three times if I was really concerned. And this just happend RANDOMLY!! DO NOT BUY THIS. >.<

A very important thing about this camera is to NOT DROP IT. I dropped mine one too many times... and er, it doesn't really work well now!! It is useless. Yeah, you can take pictures, if you want it to look like it does when you don't get a TV channel (only its rainbow and you can see a faint outline of the object). So be careful... but if you don't drop cameras, and you don't mind random pictures getting deleted, this is a nice camera. :]

I have had a pair of these for 2 years. The sound is EXCELLENT in comparison to the 6 other pairs of headphones I have (50.00-500.00 each) especially at their cost of 20.00 or less. I don't know if the wires would fail if I was moving them around a lot like throwing them in a backpack or gym bag everyday. I use them at my desk at work and at home and I don't wind or bend the wires a lot. The plastic covering the wires is of a type that will crack if used in very cold climates (I live in MN.), but I also have 2 pairs of Sony MDR-A34s with rubber wire coverings which I do use for biking, working out, etc. I would recommend these to everyone as long as you don't use them in temperatures less than 45 degrees, and I would purchase them again.

I just spent about 10 minutes flexing and bending the wires where they enter the headphones and they seem fine.

I agree with all the previous reviewers: the headphones are really nice. They fit well in your ears and give you a tremendous sound but... the wires are terribly weak! :-(
If Philips succeeds in correcting this "minor" (and annoying) problem they will have an unbeatable champ! For sure!

Almost Perfect.......2005-08-17

There a many kinds of headphones avaiable, but the only kind that work well for me are the in-ear kind. And these are the best I've ever come across = I get the Full Sound, loud and clear. Only one problem: The connectors to the earpieces could use some reinforcement = eventually they get tugged-on this way and that and the connection becomes loose and then, finally, lost. The manufacturer should put an extra piece of something or other to hold that connection firmly in place, even if there's some tugging going on...
Otherwise, I know of no better headphones for my purposes.

Another piece of junk from RCA.......2004-12-29

I bought this thing in December of 2002 for $650. It was manufactured in October of 2002. In December 2004 it started making a strange sound whenever it was plugged in. Estimate to repair is over $400 because of a bad flyback transformer.
I think I'll just throw it on Circuit City's front steps.

JUNK JUNK JUNK!!.......2004-09-23

Ok folks, this thing is pure junk. I bought this thing in September of 2002 for over $700. It was manufactured in July of 2002. In September 2004, it went dead, and started hissing whenever it was plugged in. An authorized RCA technician came to our house and looked it over. He determined that the flyback transformer was bad, and it had shorted out a transistor as well. The estimate to replace the flyback and the transister came to $300, and the technician couldn't guarantee that something else wasn't damaged--only that those two components definitely _were_ damaged. Of course, RCA only provides a 1 year warranty, so it's not covered, and here I am, 23 months from the date of purchase, and I have to go buy a new TV. The technician said that RCA seems to be having troubles with flyback transformers right now as well, so it's not like I was an isolated example.

Stay away from this loser.

I have owned several electronic organizers/schedulers over the past several years. This one is the best of the best! I am addicted to it. It goes everywhere with me. The screen size is great, the memory seems to be limitless, and the e-mail, phone, expense, to-do features cover just about everything that the schedule feature does not. The screen utilization and keyboard ergonomics are amazingly efficient for a handheld. I go through devices like this rapidly since I use them everywhere, all the time, in all kinds of situations. This one has been the most rugged survivor of them all. I am shopping for a new one now for 3 reasons: (1) I inadvertantly ripped a piece off of my previous one; (2) I tried the newer models made by SHARP and they totally stink (these new models have miserably poor screen layout/utilization; a criminal amount of user key-clicking required for the simplest functions; worthless frills such as blackjack games; and other sickening aspects); and (3) the number one reason that I want another YO-190 is that it is by far the best item in its class without a doubt!!

I bought this organizer about 1 year ago. At first I really loved the simplicity of the organizer and how compact it is. Now my LCD screen is malfunctioning and I have to buy a new one.

A very very good organizer, the calender, memo, anniversery reminder , telephone books, website book, calculator\conversion,and expense tracker are all perfect. I bring it everywhere and I store everything in it and I havn't even used half of the memory! The manuel is very VERY compreheinseve I didn't get lost once . A few days ago my sister crushed it but she had to buy a new one thank goodness I backed up everything on to my computer. It isn't very durable but most people who will buy this should put it in a high place while Syncing w/ your computer

This organiser is awesome! The PC cable Backs Up ,restores ,and can entet info through my PC. The memo is great for quick notes , the Manuel cannot be easyer to use. I bring it everywhere. I highly recommend this product

THe YO-190 is all-around great. The to-do and schedule are perfect. Tel E-mail adress book work great. I have alot to keep in this and I havent even come close to using all of the memory. The batteries last forever and it is easy to put data into this organiser with your computer or the keybored. Setting the world and home clock was easy. The owners manuel was beyond easy to use and comprehend. I highly, HIGHLY recomend this great product to anyone
