I tried using the iAudio for jogging but in radio mode it would eat through each battery in 2 to 3 hours. I would use good quality batteries and test the battery strength after the iAudio would quit and the battery would have at least half its life left. Plan on spending a mint on AAA's if you buy this or simular iAudio products. Customer service also refused to do anything about the problem on top of being slow.

Looks cool around your neck with the silver strap and clear case that came with it. DID I MENTION THAT YOU CAN SET THE COLORS FOR EACH TYPE OF ACTION [PLAYING, MENU ETC]? BEAT THAT DULL-COLORED IPOD! And just in case you're wondering how tech savvy I am, I already own a 10 gig RCA lyra jukebox [that one also transfers files back and forth from ANY computer just as easy as this one--that over-priced IPOD can't do that either] So, i was looking for something that fits in my palm/shirt pocket to chill with. Cool points for Iaudio on the seamless JetAudio software. Well worth the $ I paid for it!

issue: [1] battery life is excellent BUT I don't know about that 20 hour thing. Probably more like 16 or so. Truthfully, I dont sit for 20 hours straight doing ANYTHING, but I did play it on one AAA battery for a week for anywhere from 1-3 hrs a day. Now, just like a digital camera or camcorder with a lcd screen, if you turn off the dazzling color scheme then it will probably play longer.
[2] if you want it to do everything its supposed to do then you must master the tap/hold buttons on the device, my young padawan. The manual wasn't as bad as reading James Joyce's ramblings in Ulysses but well worth the time spent learning about the device.
[3] I don't know but I think if you drop it it might shatter so be nice to it cause I dont think it was meant for any contact sport...or young kids

SO, if you're looking for a small player for exercise or to use in the car/train this is a no-brainer. 512mb is roughly 150+ songs at 3mb per song so the price is legit. [The encoding function alone is worth the price.] Then, it has a line-in that will enable me to have all kinds of fun like converting my tapes to mp3?! What are you still reading this for? Click, buy, open, enjoy. C'mon, don't be afraid...it won't bite you. If you hate it, then bring it back.

amazon hasn't even shipped the item yet but they won't cancel this order. it's my fault for buying before ensuring this is the right one, but its a gift, thats how it goes sometimes. i will be making a bad mark on both the product, and the seller because of the hassle involved. now, instead of just letting me cancel an order which has not been shipped, i have to wait the 2 weeks for it to arrive, write down the tracking number, and then write return to sender on the box only to hope that the seller is honest enough to refund my money when he gets it back. thank god for shipping tracking numbers or i'd probably get ripped off for a 130 bucks for something i could've just cancelled, instead of having to deal without the money for a month. what a pain in my ass, the sellers ass, and the poor product review. oh, and if you've made it this far into this whine-session on my poor service, i'm sorry you had to read all this. but where else is a poorly served customer to vent?

I have a lot of mp3 players. Apple, iRiver, Olympus, iAudio... Never thought there could be something so small light powerful and resistant like this player. I am just amazed.. Records Wav and mp3 (Line-in and voice--internal micro), Reproduces a lot of formats, 2GB flash (I got the 2GB model), Exceptional FM, PC Software, UMS (Mac and Linux compatible, works like Jump Drive), 1 AAA battery works 20 hours, lot of accessories, full equalization, VOX, and wow!! 1000 backlight colors... see bellow:

Worked great for my Magical Trip to Disney.......2005-11-17

I needed a camcorder and waited until the last minute to buy one. But this camcorder came highly recommended (at least by the Costco salesman) so I bought it over the JVC. It worked wonderfully on my trip to the Disney parks as well as the Disney cruise that followed.
I am very pleased with my choice of camcorders. Also the feature that allows you to switch to still photos saved me a lot of time switching to a separate camera. I was able to film, take photos and then immediately after I was able to view both.
And the distance this camera can zoom is incredible. We seemed to be miles from docking at the Bahamas and I was able to zoom in and see people walking along the beachfront.

I love this. My hand is now PAIN FREE. I love the gel and the color. I don't know what that order review was about mine came with the mouse and the gel pad as one piece. I am a complete believer in this product and will never go back to a flat mousepad.

Your wrist bone won't pop out after using this one.......2004-08-06

I bought fellowes gel because it had a comparatively larger area and a large gel pad and a more affordable price. My optical mouse runs pretty smoothly on this pad, although it feels kinds rough at first. However, the gel pad is not soft enough, and your wrist will probably be "uncomfortable" even after using the pad. I would not recommend this pad for hardcore gaming because of its limited surface area, but the gel pad is an added bonus (eventhough it gets scratched easily). Another complaint would be that the gel pad is not uniform. So, the area where the wrist wrests actually feels harder than the adjoining "cliffs." Nonetheless, something is better than nothing!

The picture for this item implies that it includes the mousepad, keyboard wrist rest, and mini rest. But that is not true; you only get the mousepad.

The product looks cheap in the picture, and the actual product when it arrived matched that impression. But while getting all three for that price would be a good deal, just one is not worth it.

Excellent General Purpose Lens.......2002-07-30

We have a Canon SLR (IX, I think). It's the precursor to the Rebel 2000. Anyways, we had an older Sigma 28-200mm lens that somehow got out of whack. It would no longer focus on close objects. We went to a local retail outlet (Wolf), and bought this to replace our older Sigma 28-200mm lens. The addition of the macro functionality is superb.

We can now take excellent pictures of our son (telephoto) and also landscapes and scenery (wide angle). This is an excellent general purpose lens.

INCREDIBLE LENS.......2000-10-26

I ADORE this lens. Sigma has the greatest lenses in the world. ONE lens to shoot MOST EVERYTHING. I enjoy being able to take one lens, the camera, film and a few filters to shoot 98% of everything in the greatest of detail. NO fumbling back and forth for the correct lens. It is the closest thing to an all-in-one (zoom), you can find. The 28/200 is worth the money. Less hassle, Great Quality. My photos are Excellent.
