It works all right, but at the time you install it in your pc is really difficult because the instructions are not enough clear. I had a problem with de COM port, and I took me all day long to find out what to do.

The TRENDnet bluetooth adapter installs easily and has a nice interface for connecting your bluetooth devices. I use it for downloading pictures from our camera phone -- the process is simple and efficient. I quickly have the photos moved to the directory I want on the computer.

I installed the CD, put the adapter in and - it worked! In this day in age when install processes always seem to have a catch - it's nice when something work. I'm using this to sync up my Palm TX and it works fine, slower than using the cable, but works fine.
Next step is to try and use a bluetooth headset with Skype

The only issue I've encountered so far for this product is that the adapter is not yet compatible with Windows Vista. I'm sure it is a great product but have yet to use it because I'm waiting for TrendNet to release a driver for Vista.

I got this unit thinking it would be great for uploading files to my camera and otherwise comunicating via blue tooth. it does quite well for just being a blue tooth adapter, but the speed for transmission is like 50Kb/sec maximum....which is fully unacceptable. this is to an older nokia blue tooth 1.1 phone. I would recommend a different unit if you are trying to send information in any sort of quantity.

This product disappointed me as it is not recognized by MS Windows as a compatible device. It still installs and works but it does give some trouble when it is being installed.
Crashed My System.......2007-06-13
After installing this product and the accompanying software on my PC, I was able (eventually) to use it to connect to my Nokia cell phone. It took a bit of fiddling around to get to work, however. I was able to transfer files between my PC and my cell phone. The problem was that the device drivers caused my system to crash constantly. It was to the point where my system became useless. Needless to say, I had to uninstall the drivers. My system has been fine since, but now I don't have Bluetooth capability. I am running a PC that is less than a year old and am using Windows XP SP2.

I was disappointed with the product. I hoped much more I really got. I use this with my Axim x50v and it works good - until you get more than 45 feet away or so. If you need more distance, didn't really expect 320 feet anyway. Installation is easy, but the software is kind of buggy. I waste my money and time trying to increase the distance.

I use this with my T3 and it works flawlessly - until you get more than 40 feet away or so. So much for 320 feet. Didn't really expect 320 feet anyway. Installation is easy, but the software is kind of buggy. Sometimes it doesn't recognize the device when you plug it in.
However, transactions are fast and I lost only $3 or so deciding to go to the 102UB instead of the 101UB.

Excellent apart from video playback.......2007-07-15
I wanted a hard drive which I could access from anywhere in my house. The answer for me was to get a network hard drive connected to my wireless G router. I was able to backup and move files that were filling up my 80 GB laptop which was fast running out of space. Security is not very sophisticated; they simply offer password protected folders - so essentially it is dependent on the wireless router.
The bottleneck here is that the G router has a throughput of 54 Mbps in the best of times so if you need to stream video - you may not get the necessary quality of service. Even if you do update the router to the new N standard (300 - 1000 Mbps), I am not sure the 100 Mbps throughput offered by the netcenter will be enough for streaming video - especially not HD streams.
Easy backups and good speed.......2007-06-13
A very good and solid backup drive. I didn't install any software and it showed up in my Network Places immediately. I use AllwaySync to automatically backup my files. Only drawback is that it is a bit on the noisy/annoying side for me. I moved the drive into a closet and now I can't hear anything. I've been using this drive for about 2 months now and haven't had any performance problems.

This thing has been serving as my music and backup server for about two months now, and has performed solidly. I can't really comment on speed since I use it wirelessly and am limited at 1-2 Mb/sec due to my connection. Its a bit noisy, but since it sits in the basement, not a problem. Has been continuously powered for the whole while I've had it without problem. Showed up immediately upon plugging it in, not even sure why I installed the software.

Easy installation! The 2 USB ports came in handy to support a network printer and another drive for backup. I removed a star because I was disappointed with the included Backup software. I use Sync Toy so it really didn't matter. I'd definately buy another.
